MANUAL 11. Transfer
Back to the table of contents
On the transfer market, players can be bought and sold. There is the possibility to sign players immediately, or to sign contracts for the next season.

Transfer list

In the transfer list you can find all players that are currently offered on the market. The filters can be set according to your own preferences, which players should be displayed.
In the list, the players are marked with different tags:
NEW
The player is new, so has only been on the transfer market since today.
FREE AGENT
The player is clubless. His contract has either not been renewed, or his team is no longer active.
YOUTH
The player comes from a team's youth academy and was not included in the squad last season.
ENDED
The offer has ended, the player is no longer offered. This means the player has either been sold, or the offer has expired without the player being signed by a team.

The transfer list will automatically show all players that match the filters you set.
  1. Position selection only shows players who play in the desired position.
  2. „Buy it now only“ displays only players that are available for buy it now.
  3. „Ended auctions“ shows only finished transfers, i.e. players that have already been sold. Only transfers of the last 48 hours are taken into account.
  4. Via slider one can set the value (from – to) of the transfer fee. The maximum value that can be set is only the highest value of the most expensive player on the market.
  5. „Consider liquidity“. Only players you can afford according to your current financial situation will be displayed. The account balance including overdraft limit must therefore cap the transfer fee.
  6. Property filter. With the Premium account can be activated up to 3 additional search filters. To activate, simply click on the PROPERTIES dropdown, or on the + sign, directly below it. The next step is to select the desired filter property and set the value range using the slider. To remove a filter again, it can be closed by simply pressing the X button.
To get the details of a player selected by clicking on him.

In the detail view all information about the player is visible.
The purchase price (1) is fixed for the buy-it-now and cannot be changed.
The annual salary (2) can be increased, but not decreased.
The salary recommendation (3) is based on the bidder's current market value and league level and does not take into account the player's individual preferences.
The player's most recent salary is shown in (4) and is used for guidance.
The desired contract period (5) together with the annual salary (2) form the contract offer that is made to the player.
Basically, players are offered in the form of an auction. This means any team manager can offer their players. Furthermore, every team manager can make an offer for a player on the transfer market.

When making an offer, the minimum fee must not be more than 10% below the player's market value. Exception: Players who are 30 years or older at the time of the offer. For these players, the minimum purchase price may not be more than 50% below the market value.

In the Offers section (Players I offer), any team manager can offer a player on the transfer market by clicking on OFFER PLAYERS. A dialog window will open where the user can select the player he wants to sell (1).

(2, dropdown selection) When a player is offered on the transfer market, it is done in 3 different ways:
Transparent auction
Anyone can view each bid, including the name of the bidder. So the auction is absolute transparent.
Hidden auction
Here the names of the bidders are not shown. Only the highest bids for salary and fee are visible to all.
Anonymous auction

Neither the names, nor the height of the bids are displayed.

Note: In anonymous and hidden auctions, the bids are also hidden for the seller. Only when the bidding has ended can the seller view the bids and decide on one.

(3) The term of the offer shall be expressed in real days. The end of the offer is shown as a real date including time.

The maximum duration is 30 days. However, the term cannot be longer than the remaining duration of the player's contract, minus 3 days. For example, if a player has 24 days left on his contract (equivalent to 24 ONLINELEAGUE.co.uk weeks), the maximum duration of the offer can be set to 21 days. The remaining 3 days are needed for the final selection of the new team.

Players who have already announced their career end at the end of the season can generally not be offered on the transfer market.

(4) The minimum offer amount is the minimum amount that an interested bidder must offer. This amount may be between one euro and twice the current market value.

(5) All details of the player.

Clicking on MAKE OFFER will put the player on the transfer market. About each bid and at the end of the offer the offering team manager gets corresponding messages in the messenger.
Anyone can bid on an offered player. To do this, there is the following to consider:

(1) RAISE THE TRANSFER FEE
The bidder with the highest fee does not automatically get the contract, but the submitting team manager decides at the end which offer he accepts.
The amount of the payment must be at least as high as the minimum amount of the payment the bidder has deposited.
If you have already bid on the player, the amount of the new bid may not be lower.
The maximum transfer fee may not exceed 4 times the market value of a player
Players on the transfer market are much more vehement in insisting on their previous salary, especially if it is significantly above the usual salary recommendation.
(2) RAISE THE ANNUAL SALARY
The player being bid on decides whether he wants to join the bidding team based on, among other things, the annual salary being offered.
The annual salary may not be lower than the given salary recommendation.
If you have already bid on the player, the annual salary must not be lower in the new bid.
IMPORTANT: Even if the specified minimum salary was bid, it may be that this is too little for the player. Because: The minimum salary is the salary that fits the league of the bidder. The player is currently playing one or two leagues higher. There he probably gets more money. If there are bidders who offer a similar, or even a slightly lower salary, but play in a higher league, it is very possible that the player decides to play in a higher league.
TIP: To have a chance as a bidder from a lower league against bidders from higher leagues, the salary for the player should be significantly higher than the salary offered by the other teams. Otherwise, the player will usually choose a team from a higher league.
(3) CONTRACT TERM IN YEARS
The player being bid on also decides whether to join the bidding team based on the contract term offered.
The duration plays a big role together with the age and the offered annual salary.
If you have already bid for the player, the duration of the contract may change for the new bid. However, it may not be lower.
(4) MAKING A BINDING OFFER
The offered transfer fee is reserved in the bidder's account as of this moment. This means that the money is deducted from the available account balance and is no longer available to the team manager. The money will only be available again when the auction is over and either the player or the team manager has decided against your bid. All details about this are shown in the „Finances“ section. The bids will appear in the list, below the bid details.
The bid list is chronological.
The player with the highest bid does not automatically win the game.
The highest salary and wage bids will be marked in red
(1) END OF OFFER

When the offer period ends, the player (i.e. the virtual footballer, NOT the team manager) decides which of the offers he agrees with. That means to which of the bidding teams he would switch to. All other teams are left behind and get their reserved money back at their full disposal. The transfer fee will not yet be credited to the account of the losing team. That will only happen in the transfer period when the transfer is completed.
Rejection by the OFA
After the player has decided on offers, the selection will be reviewed again by the OFA. In this process, offers that fall massively short of the highest offered salary will not be permitted for acceptance.
The seller can then choose between the remaining offers. This is done to prevent the movement of players and money in the transfer market.
(2) DECISION

Now that the player has decided, the team manager of the losing team has 3 (real) days to choose which team he wants to transfer the player to. Of course, he can only choose from the teams pre-selected by the player.

If the manager does not make a decision within 3 days, the bidder with the highest bid is automatically selected. If an auction ends less than 3 days before the end of the transfer period, the decision time for the submitting team manager will be shortened. A note to this effect will be made already during the creation of the offer.

The money of all teams selected by the player remains reserved and is only available to the bidders again when the team manager has decided to which team the player will transfer.

(3) CHANGES OF PLAYERS IN THE TRANSFER PERIOD
At the start of the transfer period (summer break and winter break), all players change to the team selected by the team manager.
With this the transfer is finally finished and the transferring team gets the transfer fee on its account.

Only when the player change is completed during the transfer period, the sending club gets the transfer fee on his account.
Uncontracted players can be signed immediately and are the only ones that can be signed during the current season. These include:
Players whose contracts have expired and have not been renewed
Players from teams that have been discontinued and therefore will not continue to play.
Players from a team's youth academy who have not been included in the squad within a season
New players who have not previously been part of a team. These players are offered when there are not enough clubless players on the market.

Instant buy players are primarily of interest to teams in the 6th and 5th leagues. New teams that need to compensate for short-term absences, for example, or that simply lack an alternative in a certain position, can resort to immediate purchase players. A long-term squad planning including contract negotiations and transfer deadlines are usually not yet practicable here.
The number and interval of players offered will depend on the total number of teams and the needs in the different parts of the team. Generally, offers are checked several times per hour and new players are offered if necessary.
Instant buy players are offered for sale for 3 days. The transfer fee is fixed and is always below the market value.
If a buy-it-now player is to be committed, this is done via the button „SUBMIT A BINDING OFFER“.

If the player agrees to the offer, he immediately moves to the bidding club. There is no waiting or consideration period.

If the player does not agree to the offer, he makes a counteroffer. Depending on the age, market value and character of the player, he demands a higher salary or accepts a shorter or longer contract period.

After several rounds of negotiations, the player may break off the negotiations. In that case, they can be resumed at the earliest the next day.

Early ended listings will continue to show in the list for 48 hours (if the „Ended Auctions“ filter is enabled). These are for information only and show the player's new team. These players can no longer be signed.

By clicking the watch button (1) you can add the desired player to the list. This is possible via the player profile as well as via the offer page on the transfer list. As soon as you have activated the button (2), the button fills up, a message appears and the player is in your watchlist. If you want to remove the player directly from the list, you can do this by pressing the button again.

In the watchlist you can filter by position (1) and availability (2) of the player. With a click on the checkbox in the title bar you can select all players (3). If you have selected players (4), you can remove them from the watchlist by clicking the Remove player button (5).

Description text follows.

In order to prevent improper game advantages, cheating or even fraud, the following rules apply to all transfers:
In the following cases, bidding is subject to review by the OFA (Online Football Association)
  • The transfer fee offered exceeds the market value many times over. The exact limits are variable.
  • At the end of the auction there is only 1 bid, which at the same time exceeds the market value.
  • The highest bid by far was not accepted by the submitting team manager.
Warnings
  • If there is no bid on a player yet and a team manager offers a transfer that equals or exceeds twice the market value, the bidder will be told that this bid is only accepted subject to review
  • If a team manager bids an amount that is a multiple of the market value, the bidder gets the hint that this bid is only accepted subject to a test.
For a proven violation of the rules, the team, or teams, in question will be disqualified and suspended from play with immediate effect.
The exclusion also applies to any other teams managed by a person.
Restriction:
New teams can bid a total of 50,000 pounds; on the transfer market for the first 44 weeks (online league weeks) after they sign up.
After the 44 weeks, this restriction will be lifted.
